Download Hangouts 2.0 with SMS & MMS Support

Hangouts with SMS support was announced in Google+ event and it was only available for Nexus 5 Android 4.4 Kitkat. Yesterday, this latest update landed in Google Play for other nexus and non-nexus devices. Along with SMS support Hangouts 2.0 is updated with group MMS conversation, Animated Gif support, location sharing in conversation , share your current mood etc. Currently the SMS & MMS feature is only available for Android 4.0+ devices only.

Send/receive text messages with Hangouts! You can import your existing messages, quickly switch between SMS and Hangouts and start group MMS conversations
- Animated GIFs: send animated GIFs, cute kittens and all
- Location: share a location in your conversations
- Device, in-call, mood status: share what device you are on, whether you’re on a call or your current mood
