How Flash Jelly Bean 4.1.2 I9100XXLSJ on Galaxy S2 using Odin3 v1.85
1. Download Firmwares from here2. Download Odin3 v1.85 from here
3. Extract the update file I9100XXLSJ_I9100OXXLS1_OXX.zip( You will get 6 files )
- CHECKSUM.md5
- CODE_I9100XXLSJ.tar
- CSC_HOME_OXX_I9100OXXLS1.tar
- emmc_EXT4_16GB.pit
- emmc_EXT4_32GB.pit
- MODEM_I9100XXLS6.tar
4. Now, Extract and Open odin3 v1.85.exe.
5. Power off Galaxy S2.
6. Now boot in to download mode. ( Volume down + Home button + power button )
7. In download mode connect your phone to PC.
8. Now look in Odin... ID:COM box will be yellow with a port name and Added! message will be displayed.
9. In Odin..Click PDA ,PHONE, CSE and select corresponding files
- PDA - CODE_I9100XXLSJ.tar
- PHONE - MODEM_I9100XXLS6.tar
- CSC - CSC_HOME_OXX_I9100OXXLS1.tar
10. Click Start button.
11. After complete update Odin will show PASS on top left and phone will reboot. now unplug phone from USB.
That's it Done ! You are successfully updated Galaxy S2 to Jelly Bean 4.1.2

ReplyDeleteHi. Great to have completed the upgrade process - it seemed to be so easy. One small point - the first few times I got and error from Odin with FAIL message. Read somewhere else that need to close Odin, switch off the phone, pull out the battery for a few seconds and then put back and repeat the steps for upgrading as mentioned above. Worked flawlessly.

ReplyDeleteOfficial Jelly bean is released by Samsung..this ROM is leaked by some one from XDA or SamMobile...the official ROM released after this so it may be improved also chance for bugs...so if you feel this ROM better stick with it...to go back to official stock ROM download latest official ROM for your country and flash using ODIN.

2. after instalation. my device can't use the home screen lock even after i wiped the cache n data.

Are Modem and Baseband the same thing?
If so why does it matter what baseband I am currently on if I'm going to update it?
For reference my phone details are:

Baseband: i9100BVLPB
Can I flash with this baseband?
Also, my phone is stuck in a bootloop after installing Cyanogenmod 10.1, so I'm not sure what kernel I have installed. Does that make a difference?
Is there any chance installing Cyanogenmod will have changed my Baseband?
Is there a way to install a custom kernel (such as Siyah) through Odin?

ReplyDeleteYes modem and baseband are same thing...sometimes if you use different baseband it may cause network problem..if you have trouble after cyanogen mod then boot in to recovery and wipe dalvik cache...if not fixes give me your country info...i will provide the specific firmware for your country ,which can flash using Odin....

try this
1. Remove and reinsert your battery.
2. Now boot into recovery mode. (Press and hold the Volume up and Home button ( Center button ) ,now press and hold the power button to boot in to recovery mode.
3. Apply wipe data/factory reset.
4. Apply wipe cache partition.
5. Finally reboot system...
